Frequently asked questions
Good questions
make better software.
Here is how we think about projects, partnerships, payments, and responsible technology.
Ask a different questionWhat does Sankofa Tech Labs build?
We build custom web and mobile products, enterprise platforms, business automation, APIs and integrations, and AI-powered tools such as natural language interfaces, knowledge assistants, and machine learning integrations.
Who do you work with?
We work with African businesses, founders, growing organizations, and global teams that need a thoughtful technology partner. We can join at the idea stage, support an existing product team, or help modernize an important business process.
How does a project start?
We begin with a conversation about the business outcome, users, constraints, and what is already in place. If there is a fit, we prepare a written proposal with the scope, deliverables, timeline, assumptions, responsibilities, and payment schedule.
How long does a project take?
It depends on the problem and the level of certainty we have at the start. A focused discovery or prototype can be short, while a production platform is delivered in milestones. We agree on a realistic schedule before work begins and keep progress visible throughout.
Do you build AI products?
Yes. We work on applied AI where it can improve a real workflow or customer experience. We consider data quality, privacy, human review, cost, reliability, and the consequences of an incorrect output before recommending a model or automation.
How are projects priced and paid for?
Pricing is based on the agreed scope and is set out in a proposal or statement of work. Payment milestones, currency, taxes, and any approved payment method are confirmed before development begins. Where a Paystack payment link is provided, the payment is processed securely by Paystack.
Do you provide support after launch?
Yes. Support can include maintenance, bug fixes, monitoring, performance work, new features, technical guidance, and roadmap planning. The level of ongoing support is agreed as part of the project or a separate support arrangement.
How do I request a proposal?
Email us at [email protected] with a short description of the problem, who it affects, what success looks like, and any timing or budget information you can share.
